“My first SUP experience was on Lake Tahoe on one of the last boating days of the season. Some friends and I created a little competition involving paddling through an obstacle course while balancing a can of beer. I won!”
“Lake Tahoe is my favorite place to paddle; with its hidden beaches, coves, and endless places to explore and discover. There is nothing I enjoy more than getting on my paddleboard on an early summer morning, watching the sun rise, and heading out on an adventure.”

“Its amazing the places a standup paddleboard can take you. The fun for me is finding out just what is really possible and gaining new perpectives on this beautiful world we live in. Paddling gives you that! I love that it lets my imagination run wild.” -Lel

“In any of the endeavors I set out on, surfing big waves, climbing crazy mountains, etc, it has always been about sublimating myself in the arms of mother nature and learning a bit of humility. It’s been about the passion and not podiums for me and paddling with my friends is just another extension of that ethos. Our trip to Catalina pretty much sums up the magic of paddling for me!”
Aloha, Dave

“Maps have always fascinated me. As a teen, hearing about surf trips to Cape Hatteras from some older friends and how you get there from New Jersey on ferries and bridges and tunnels is what set the hook. It was amazing to me that a road could even go there. And with the stories of storms and the rich pirate history, I couldn’t acquaint myself enough with the maps of the area in hopes to have better bearings when I arrived.”
“Its still that way for me. I just love how a map and some imagination can build the anticipation of seeing some place for the first time.”-Ronnie
